The Navy Memorial’s Education department is responsible for conducting youth education programs, seminars and symposia, creating exhibits in the Naval Heritage Center and providing reference information and photographs to researchers.

PBS Film "Another Day in Paradise" with Reception and Q&A
Join us at the Navy Memorial on Wednesday, June 11 at 6:00 p.m. for a sneak preview of the PBS film “Another Day in Paradise,” which follows the lives of sailors aboard a U.S. aircraft carrier. A question and answer session will follow, allowing attendees to speak with the director, producer, and film participants. The event is free, but please kindly RSVP to jwhite@navymemorial.org. Vietnam: The Stories Still Echo

Presented by the Virginia War Memorial in partnership with the U.S. Navy Memorial. General P. X. Kelley, USMC (Ret.), a Vietnam veteran and former Commandant of the Marine Corps, will speak at the U.S. Navy Memorial as a part of the Teacher Institute Summer '08 program (an institute for teachers of USII & VA/US History from middle and high school). Come and be a part of this unique opportunity offered to middle and high school teachers across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Recent Events Navy SEAL Makes Appearance at U.S. Navy Memorial for Book Signing and Discussion
On May 12, 2008, the U.S. Navy Memorial welcomed former SEAL Marcus Luttrell to discuss and sign copies of his book "Lone Survivor", which tells his harrowing account of survival during a firefight in Afghanistan that claimed the lives of his three fellow SEALs.
