Candidates must be in final one/two years of full-time or co-op undergraduate or one-year graduate program in engineering or physical science, and a U.S. Citizen.
Anchor Scholarship Foundation
Applicants must be a dependent child or spouse of an active duty or retired US Navy service member who has served at least six years in a command under the administrative control of Commander, Naval Surface Forces (U.S. Atlantic or U.S. Pacific Fleets). Once eligibility has been verified through submission of a completed Eligibility Application (on the web site at www.anchorscholarship.com), a Scholarship Application will be provided. Anchor Scholarship Foundation Awards, for tuition and tuition-related fees, are granted to students working full-time toward their first bachelor's degree at an accredited four-year college or university campus. The selection is based on academics, extracurricular activities, character, and financial need. Eligibility Applications must be received no later than March 15th; Scholarship Applications must be received no later than April 1st for awards distributed semiannually the following academic year.
Dolphin Scholarship Foundation
Undergraduate scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to high school or college children/stepchildren (unmarried, under age 24 at time of deadline) of: (1) members or former members of the Submarine Force who have qualified in submarines and have served in the Submarine Force for at least eight (8) years; or (2) Navy members who have served in submarine support activities (e.g., submarine bases, tenders, and rescue vessels) for a minimum of ten (10) years. Dolphin Scholarships are renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study. The scholarship is available to full-time students working toward a baccalaureate (bachelor’s) degree at accredited four-year colleges or universities. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic proficiency, financial need, and commitment and excellence in school and community activities.
Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) and Ladies Auxiliary FRA
Applicant must be the spouse or dependent child of a member of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard (regular reserve), who is retired with pay, or deceased while retired, and a member of the FRA. Selection is based upon financial need, scholastic standing, character, and leadership qualities.
Navy League of the United States
Awards are made on the basis of need and grades. Applicants should be citizens of the U.S., graduating from high school by the end of the 2006/2007 school year, and attending an accredited college in the fall of 2007.

As of July 2004, Surflant Scholarship Foundation evolved into Anchor Scholarship Foundation.
Vice Admiral E. P. Travers Scholarship
Applicant must be the spouse or dependent child of an active duty or retired Navy or Marine Corps servicemember, and demonstrate financial need.

The CWO John A. Keller, Chief Warrant and Warrant Officers Association Scholarship Grant is established to financially assist dependent sons/daughters of members of the Chief Warrant Officer Association in good standing or who were members in good standing of the Chief Warrant and Warrant Officer Association, United States Coast Guard at the time of their death.
